What To Expect

During the visit, you can expect:

  • An infant oral exam (if needed)
  • Weighing your baby before and after feeding
  • Observing a feed, whether it's your baby latching or you pumping

Typically, these visits last approximately 60-90 minutes, though for multiples, it may take longer.

  • If you're experiencing pain while breastfeeding

  • Your baby is not latching or coming on and off during feeding

  • You're concerned about your milk supply

  • Your baby is not gaining weight
